Dr. Ebonee Magee-Dorsey is entering her 13th year in education and her 4th year as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Counselor at the Lawrence County Technology & Career Center. She has proudly served in the Lawrence County School District for 10 years, working at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Her experiences also extend to the college level, allowing her to bring a well-rounded perspective to her work with students.

A 2006 graduate of Lawrence County High School, Dr. Dorsey went on to attend Mississippi College where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, Master of Education in School Counseling, Education Specialist in Counseling, and Doctorate in Professional Counseling. She is a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), National Board Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Dr. Dorsey is deeply engaged in professional leadership. She currently serves on the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Board of Directors and is the Assistant Chair of the Magnolia State School Counselor Association Board of Directors. She is also active in the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA).

Her contributions to the field have been recognized with several honors, including being named the 2019 MCA School Counselor of the Year and the 2023 Magnolia State School Counselor of the Year.

Dr. Dorsey is excited to continue serving the students of Lawrence County High School and Lawrence County Technology & Career Center. She is committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional success of all students.
