Dr. Ebonee Magee-Dorsey is beginning her 9th year as an Educator and 1st year as the CTE Counselor at the Lawrence County Technology & Career Center. Dr. Dorsey has been a School Counselor in the Lawrence County School District for 7 years and she has worked at the elementary, middle school, and college levels.

Dr. Dorsey is a 2006 graduate of Lawrence County High School. After graduation, she attended Mississippi College and earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, Master of Education in School Counseling, Education Specialist in Counseling, and Doctorate in Professional Counseling. Dr. Dorsey is a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), National Board Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and also a Licensed Professional Counselor. (LPC) She has been an active leader in the school counseling field for numerous years and has presented at numerous conferences across the state.

Dr. Dorsey is an active member of the Magnolia State School Counseling Association, where she serves as the Assistant Chair to the Board of Directors. She is also an active member of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), American Counseling Association (ACA), Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA), and Mississippi Association of Middle-Level Educators where she serves as Vice President.

Dr. Dorsey was selected as the 2019 MCA School Counselor of the Year and recently the 2023 Magnolia State School Counselor of the Year where she will travel to Washington, D.C. in 2023 to be honored with the winners from every other state and attend a black-tie gala where the American School Counselor Association will announce the national School Counselor of the Year.

Dr. Dorsey is excited to serve the students at Lawrence County High School and Lawrence County Technology and Career Center. She is committed to the success of each and every student.
