Ben Battle

I am Benjamin Battle and I am the Instructor for Construction and Carpentry courses at LCTCC. I have been employed at Lawrence County since 2017.  I obtained my Associates Degree from SMCC. I have30 years’ experience in the Construction trade including concrete placement, steel erecting, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and roofing.

The Building Trades program consists of Construction Core (year 1) and Level 1 Carpentry (year 2). It uses the NCCER curriculum, and students can receive credentials through the NCCER in the areas taught. These credentials can be used when seeking employment in the Construction trade.

Building Trades is also affiliated with the Skills USA organization. Students that are members of Skills USA have the opportunity to compete at the regional, state, and national level in the different construction trades (plumbing, masonry, electrical, carpentry).
